Multiscale embedded correlation network analysis illustrates the differential correlation between various BAs in subjects with incident diabetes and control subjects. Only BA pairs with significant differential correlations (P < 0.05) are included. Colored lines represent the direction and strength of the correlation in subjects with incident diabetes and control subjects, and the number of lines that follows indicates the number of BA pairs in the global networks exhibiting this pattern of change. For instance, the pink line ++/0 13 in the second column under the network indicates that correlation between two connected BA pairs was unrelated (0) in control subjects and became positively correlated (++) in subjects with incident diabetes. +P < 0.05, ++P < 0.01, both are positively correlated. −P < 0.05, −−P < 0.01, both are negatively correlated. 0P > 0.05. A total of 13 BA pairs connected by pink lines in the network displayed this pattern of change. Note: pink circle, UnconPBA, unconjugated PBA; green circle, ConPBA, conjugated PBA; orange circle, UnconSBA, unconjugated SBA; blue circle, ConSBA, conjugated SBA.
