About the Hosts

Dr. Neil Skolnik, MD, is a family physician, professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, and associate director of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Abington Jefferson Health. He has written and edited 5 books on topics in primary care, overseen the development of over 25 medical textbooks, and published more than 400 articles, columns, poems, essays, webinars, and podcasts. Dr. Skolnik has served on advisory committees for the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and the American Diabetes Association and lectures nationally on a range of topics, with a special interest in diabetes, asthma, COPD, exercise in medicine, coronary disease risk factor management, and the medical humanities.

Dr. Sara Wettergreen, PharmD, BCACP, BC-ADM, is an assistant professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She is a clinical pharmacy specialist at UCHealth Lone Tree Primary Care, where her activities focus on diabetes management and cardiovascular risk reduction. Dr. Wettergreen’s research interests include diabetes and diabetes-related technology, as she seeks to increase access to and utilization of diabetes-related technology.
