If diabetes has had an impact on your life, whether you have diabetes or care for someone who has diabetes, please consider submitting your original artwork for publication on the cover of an issue of Diabetes Care.
Submit Artwork for the Cover of Diabetes Care
Artwork submission and selection is completely independent from manuscript submission and the peer review process—artwork sent for consideration on the cover is not required to be related to an article submitted to or published in the journal. Diabetes Care will consider images of artwork of any subject or medium, based on the following conditions.
The art must be an original work of which you are the artist and therefore the copyright holder. If chosen, ADA will require unrestricted free use of the image to be published on the cover of the journal as well as in other ADA publications and marketing materials. For quality reproduction, ADA will ask for chosen images to be provided in TIFF or EPS format, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, no larger than 2MB.
For examples of recent Diabetes Care cover art, visit the Issue Archive. Cover image submissions should be sent to Larissa Pouch, Editorial Peer-Review Manager, with a caption describing the image and complete credit information (e.g., image of a painting titled... contributed by...). Please also send a short biography describing how you or your artwork is connected to diabetes.
If your article is chosen to appear on a future cover of Diabetes Care, your biography will be published in the issue on which your artwork appears.Submit Your Artwork
